About the organisation

Each and every doctor has to learn the subject of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in their MBBS curriculum. Some of them become specialists in this branch of medical sciences after studying MD in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology. Some work as faculties like Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, SRs and Demonstrators in the medical colleges and some work as specialist medical officers as Medical Officer Medico- Legal (MOML) in other health institutions. The services provided by doctors of this speciality are: Teaching MBBS & MD students, taking examinations, performing medico-legal(ML) work like doing ML autopsy, medical examination of the survivors and accused persons of sexual assault, age estimation of a person, training students and other doctors in ML work and attending courts as an expert witness. BAFM provides a platform for the FMT specialists to communicate with each other in order to provide a better service to the society.

Announcements

We are in the preparatory phase to publish a Journal of the BAFM (JBAFM).
We are arranging CMEs with WBMC credit hours at regular intervals.
We are going to publish shortly the next updated edition of the practical notebook of FMT on behalf of BAFM.
